One to two pumps on clean skin. Press gently into areas where expression sets in — forehead, between the brows, around the eyes. Follow with your moisturizer.
Both is ideal. If you can only do one, do night — skin repairs while you sleep.
Most people see softer expression lines in about four days. Lasting change builds over 28+ days with nightly use.
At two pumps twice a day, a 15ml bottle lasts about 6–8 weeks. Once nightly, closer to 12 weeks.
Yes. Apply, let it absorb for a minute, then layer your moisturizer and makeup as usual. It isn't greasy and won't pill under foundation.
moody is a neurocosmetic skincare brand. Our hero product is a topical, no-needle approach to the facial tension and expression-related aging that stress and emotion write on your face.
It eases facial micro-contractions topically — the same kind of repeated muscle activity that, over time, sets expression lines into the skin. It's also a light, well-tolerated serum that layers easily with the rest of your routine.
Anyone who notices stress, mood, or hormones showing up on their face. Expression lines. Tension between the brows. The way the same face looks different on a hard week. moody was built especially with hormonal and cycle-aware skin in mind.
No. moody is a neurocosmetic, not an injectable and not a botox product. The hero active, Lavandox, is a Spanish lavender extract that works at the surface — inspired by the same muscular pathway botox targets, with completely different delivery. No needle, no downtime, no injection.
Most "botox alternative" serums include a recognizable ingredient at a fraction of a percent — too low to do anything but appear on a label. We dose Lavandox at a meaningful concentration and tell you what's in the bottle in plain language. That's the whole brand.
Yes to both. No animal-derived ingredients, no animal testing — ours or our suppliers'.
Yes. No added fragrance and no essential oils added for scent.
Lavandox is a Spanish lavender (Lavandula stoechas) extract. It's designed to help inhibit facial micro-contractions topically, inspired by the same pathway targeted by botox.
Repeated micro-contractions of the small facial muscles — the kind you make all day when you frown, squint, or hold tension — gradually set expression lines into the skin. Lavandox softens that signal at the surface, so the muscle relaxes and the surface has a chance to settle.
The full mechanism with a diagram is on the Science page.
Yes. Lavandox has published research supporting the mechanism. We've kept the on-pack and on-site claims to what the evidence actually supports — no overreach.
Because every ingredient should earn its place. We use the minimum number of components to do the job — Lavandox at a working concentration, basic hydration, a clean preservative system. No fillers, no proprietary blends to hide behind.
We chose to keep the formula focused on Lavandox at a meaningful dose, rather than stack peptides at sub-effective levels. Honest formulation over crowded labels.
Yes — fragrance-free, low-irritation, and designed to layer well. If your skin is highly reactive, patch-test on your jaw for 24 hours before full application.
Yes. Apply moody first on clean skin, then your moisturizer, then your retinol step. If you're using a strong actives night, you can alternate evenings to start.
Yes. Same logic — moody first, then your acid step. If both are at higher strengths, alternate nights at the beginning.
Yes. Most people use vitamin C in the morning; moody works at any time. They don't compete.
We recommend pausing during pregnancy and nursing. Lavandox is a concentrated botanical active, and there isn't enough long-term data in those populations for us to recommend it. When in doubt, check with your doctor.
Yes. The formula is non-comedogenic. moody won't treat active breakouts (that's a different mechanism), but it can layer with your acne routine without adding irritation.
It was built with cycle-aware and hormonal skin in mind — the founder has PCOS and the brand was built from inside that experience. moody isn't a treatment for hormonal acne, but it pairs cleanly with the rest of your routine and addresses the tension and expression side of how stress shows up.
We'd recommend patch-testing first. The formula is gentle, but every reactive skin is different. If you're in an active flare, hold off until the skin calms.
